Get to know Peoria Church
Our church was founded in 1904 with just a handful of members. With God’s help, we have grown in size and understanding. We never want to stop growing as long as we are on this earth.
We are excited to meet you when you visit! We often have first-time visitors at our church, and it is always nice to make new friends. We have a friendly team who will happily point you in the right direction if you just let them know this is your first time. To the right of the doors leading into the sanctuary is a Welcome Table where someone is always available to answer any questions you may have. We have tried to answer questions we regularly get about our church in the section below – if we have missed anything, feel free to contact us on Social Media or email us with anything else you want to know.
Time & Location
Our Sabbath morning gatherings start at 9:15am. There is prayer meeting Wednesdays at 6:30p. Join Pastor Matthew as we study exegesis.
What to expect
No matter what questions or concerns you might have, we’ll be glad to answer them. Our friendly staff will assist you in whatever way you need.
Follow us on Social Media to get a better idea of what we are up to. We also have a library, a health food store and resources to guide you closer to our Savior.
At 9:30am, we have Sabbath School classes (similar to Sunday School) for all ages of children, newborn and up. Each class has age-appropriate songs, crafts, and Bible stories. The class for the littlest ones, ages 0-4, is very interactive and parents are asked to stay and participate with their children. All the other classes, children may be left while parents enjoy the adult classes, or parents are welcome to stay with their children of any age.
There is Children’s Church every second and fourth Sabbath of the month. On the other Sabbaths during the 11:00 worship service, we encourage families to participate in worship together. While most families sit together in the main sanctuary, we know that little ones can get mighty restless. We have two places for families with littles – a nursery (this room is for nursing mothers or parents putting children to sleep, and includes rockers and a bathroom with a changing area) and a family room (this room has chairs just like the main sanctuary but is divided from the main area by doors – parents can use this room to help restless children learn how to participate in worship without being disruptive.)
